EURO GAS: Dutch, German prices ease after Wednesday gains

Dutch and German prices were lower Thursday as selling interest emerged following gains in the previous session.

By around midday, the TTF day-ahead last traded 5 euro cents lower day on day at Eur22.30/MWh, while the corresponding German GASPOOL and NetConnect were down 25 euro cents and 22.5 euro cents, respectively, at Eur22.40/MWh and Eur22.625/MWh.

Dutch and German systems are nominated to be well supplied Thursday at 284 million cu m and 447 million cu m, respectively, helped by robust Norwegian and Russian flows.

Real-time Norwegian flows into the Emden-Dornum beach terminals on the Dutch/German border were at 143 million cu m/day rates Thursday around midday UK time, according to network operator Gassco.

Dutch imports from Norway are nominated steady day on day at 44 million cu m, while German imports from Norway are nominated 7 million cu m higher on the day at 94 million cu m.

Meanwhile, Russian flow nominations into western Europe are pegged at 229 million cu m, with flows through Nord Stream, Yamal and Brotherhood at 90 million cu m, 79 million cu m and 60 million cu m, respectively.

CustomWeather forecasts temperatures in Amsterdam and Berlin at 3 C above seasonal norms Thursday, with temperatures at the former remaining the same Friday, while Berlin temperatures drop to 1 C above norms Friday.

By around midday UK time, November TTF last dealt 10 euro cents lower at Eur22.75/MWh, while November GASPOOL and NCG were down by 12.5 euro cents and 20 euro cents, respectively, at Eur22.825/MWh and Eur22.95/MWh.
