Summit Background |
The number of independent refineries operating in China has expanded significantly in the past five years, and now represents about 30pc of the country’s total refining capacity, according to an updated research study just published by Argus. The study reveals that there are now almost 160 independent refineries in operation with a primary capacity of 191.18mn t/yr (3.8mn b/d), out of China’s total refining capacity of 634.28mn t/yr (12.7mn b/d), as of April 2012. The independent refining sector plays a critical role in supplying China with motor fuels and other oil products.
Held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang China this year, the 6th Independent Refineries China Summit remains as the key platform for independent refi neries to discuss the development trends of China’s oil products market. This year’s theme, “New Investment, New Cooperation, New development” will be the main focus as key industry experts share insights on coping with urgent demands and volatile costs of raw materials, capitals and markets, new investments and other issues faced by independent refi neries. In addition, the event will provide unlimited networking opportunities with industry leaders and your peers. The event will also feature an exhibition featuring international companies showcasing their latest products and technology solutions. |
