China: Dalian Wepec resumes normal crude runs
https://www.chemnet.com Jul 23,2010
Dalian Wepec has lifted crude throughput to the level before pipeline blasts, hitting about 24,000mt a day (170 kbd), up 20% from 19,000mt a day (140 kbd), a source with the refinery told C1.
Oil products shipments from Dalian Xingang oil port were rising with the traffic control lifted, the source said.
The crude supply may still be somewhat affected, as the two crude pipelines exploded are still under reparation, which is estimated to last for one month, according to the source. Nevertheless, the basic supply of crude can be secured via a 100,000-DWT jetty and barge transferring, added the source.
The 100,000-DWT was used to export Daqing crude before, C1's record indicated.
Oil slick clean-up is still underway in the sea near Xingang port.
