China: Tropical storm "Chanthu" impacts fuel oil re-export in South China
https://www.chemnet.com Jul 23,2010
The tropical storm "Chanthu" that was expected to land in west Guangdong on Jul 22 has impacted some fuel oil cargoes for re-export, said a port source in Zhuhai.
These fuel oil cargoes for Chimbusco Pan Nation have been delayed as Zhuhai port suspended operation as from Jul 21 because of the storm, the source said.
Chimbusco Pan Nation had purchased these resources, 6,000mt of Singaporean 180CST fuel oil, from Sinochem International and planned to re-export them to Hong Kong these few days, the source added.
Huangpu and Zhanjiang ports also halted operation on Jul 21, which has made no impact on imported fuel oil cargoes as none had been scheduled to arrive recently, according to sources with them.
But a crude cargo, about 110,000mt of Sudanese crude previously scheduled to reach Guangxi for PetroChina Qinzhou refinery, will probably be delayed, said an importer.
