Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China claimed that due to expanding impact of real estate control policies, the sales volume of building and decoration materials as well as furniture in domestic top 100 largest retailing enterprises plummeted in the first half of this year, according to statistics from China Commercial Union and the Nation Commercial Information Center of China.
The statistics also showed that accumulated growth of sales in building and decoration industries in the first six month decreased to minus 14.5%, with year-over-year decline of 27.7%. Meanwhile, sales growth in furniture industry also hovered at low level.
Besides, with further impact of real estate control policies, pressure on furniture sales would strengthen continuously while some market players predicted that sales of building materials would not be better than expected in the second half of this year. Thereby polyurethane industry would probably be influenced by weakening demand from building materials and furniture market.Print | add to Favorites | Close
