Dalian Customs exported 1.12-mil mt of gasoline in the first half of 2010, accounting for 36.76% of China's total, highest of all customs, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.
Many refineries exporting gasoline are located in Northeast China, of which Sino-foreign joint-venture Dalian Wepec is a major one, industry sources denoted.
Shenyang Customs ranked the second, exporting 829,000mt of gasoline in the period, followed by Ningbo Customs with 231,000mt, the data showed. Haikou Customs and Qingdao Customs took up the fourth and fifth places, respectively.
Thanks to favorable geographic locations, South China and eastern coast are still key gasoline export regions in China, with Southeast Asia as main destination, industry sources said.
