Sinopec Guangzhou Petrochemical set its crude oil throughput target for August at 1-mil mt, unchanged with the previous month, according to a refinery source.
The refinery plans to go into month-long turnaround in December, when it would revamp 5.2-mil-mt/yr crude oil distillate unit, 1.5-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker, 1.8-mil-mt/yr hydrogenation unit and 1-mil-mt/yr delayed coker, the source revealed.

Guangzhou Petrochemical, located in South China's Guangdong Province, has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 15.7-mil mt. It mainly refines crude imported from the Middle East. It is capable of producing 220,000mt of ethylene per year.
