China: Japan ranks as top receiver of Chinese naphtha in H1'10: GAC

Japan was the largest receiver of China's naphtha exports in the first half of 2010, importing 357,299mt, surging 316% from a year earlier, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.
South Korea ranked the second, importing 247,139mt, sharply up 188% year-on-year, the data showed.
China's naphtha exports mainly flowed into the above two destinations in the period, imports of both of which were boosted by ethylene unit maintenances in the second quarter, market sources denoted.
China exported 203,094mt of naphtha to Japan in the second quarter, up 31.70% from the previous quarter; meantime, the exports to South Korea up 25.71% to 137,643mt, the GAC data showed.
