On May 28th, Uzbekistan's newspaper website reported that Russia plans to significantly increase its natural gas supply to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan, which may increase to 11 billion cubic meters by 2025.
Mirziyoyev stated that Russia is a strategic partner in Ukraine's supply of natural gas, oil, and petroleum products. The Russian Energy Minister stated that Russia and Ukraine are actively negotiating a significant increase in natural gas and electricity supply. The two countries are working hard to expand the capacity of the Central Asian pipeline system to increase natural gas supply. Starting from October 7, 2023, Ukraine will import natural gas from Russia for a two-year contract, supplying 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas annually.
