The Kathmandu Post reported on October 15th that Nepal Petroleum Company plans to raise the prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene on the 16th, with gasoline prices increasing by 1 rupee per liter and diesel and kerosene prices increasing by 4 rupees per liter. After the price increase, gasoline costs 159 rupees per liter and diesel costs 151 rupees per liter.

Nepal Petroleum Company implements an automatic fuel pricing mechanism, adjusting prices based on the pricing of its sole supplier, Indian Petroleum Company. The latter reviews the export prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene every two weeks, and reviews the export prices of other products such as aviation fuel and liquefied petroleum gas once a month.
