On October 21, the commodity price index of propylene and 2-EH was 84.89 points, a decrease of 0.18 points from the previous day, a decrease of 57.38% from the highest point of the cycle at 199.16 points (2020-04-13), and an increase of 78.79% from the lowest point of 47.48 points on August 8, 2021. (Note: The period refers to January 1, 2012 to present).

According to the Commodity Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of 2-EH in Shandong on October 22 was 9,166.67 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.36% from the previous trading day.

Analysis review

The upstream propylene market fluctuated and consolidated, the cost support of 2-EH weakened, the downstream plasticizer market remained strong and consolidated, and the downstream purchasing enthusiasm temporarily stabilized. The upward support for 2-EH still existed, and the downward pressure had weakened.
