Analysis review

The overall price of bromine had risen this month. The mainstream market price in Shandong region was temporarily around 21,000-22,500 RMB/ton. At the beginning of the month, it was not affected by weather factors, and the rainfall significantly decreased. The bromine enterprise equipment was operating normally, and the inventory was low. The enthusiasm for inquiries and purchases of downstream flame retardants for bromine was relatively high, and the overall market had been boosted, with bromine prices rising. However, downstream demand had limited cost support for bromine, and the price was consolidated at the end of October.

Regarding sulfur: The overall price of sulfur rose in October. The average market price at the beginning of the month was 1,397.67 RMB/ton, and the average market price at the end of use was 1,527.67 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 9.3% and a year-on-year increase of 63.1%. The transaction atmosphere in the sulfur market was still acceptable, and the demand for this month was also acceptable.

Market outlook

SunSirs’ analysts believe that the price of bromine has been on the rise recently. Now bromine supply is normal, and some manufacturers have low inventory. The demand for main downstream flame retardants remains stable, and there is a supply-demand game. Overall, it is expected that the price of bromine will stabilize in the short term, depending on downstream market demand.
