Ineos launches polypropylene material with 70% recycled content
Recently, INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe announced the launch of a new hybrid polymer product—Recycl-IN rPP1025C, which contains up to 70% recycled material. Designed specifically for contact-sensitive packaging such as cosmetics, it aims to effectively reduce the carbon footprint throughout the packaging lifecycle without compromising product quality and performance, thereby supporting the sustainable development of the beauty industry.
This product is a natural-colored polypropylene homopolymer, suitable for both thin-wall injection molding and fiber extrusion processes. In terms of core performance, the material's processability, mechanical strength, and optical performance are comparable to those of virgin polypropylene, while achieving a 35% reduction in carbon footprint. It is a cost-effective solution that can directly replace existing packaging raw materials.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second Recycl-IN series hybrid grade product launched by INEOS for the cosmetics packaging sector, further enriching its portfolio of sustainable polymer solutions. Currently, INEOS has established a comprehensive system of recycled hybrid polyolefin compounds covering multiple fields, which can be widely applied in rigid and flexible scenarios across industries such as automotive, construction, packaging, and textiles, providing customized green material solutions for customers in various sectors.
