On February 4th, the Greek energy company Metlen officially announced that it had reached an agreement with Schroders Green Capital to sell its UK portfolio of solar projects with a total installed capacity of 283 megawatts. This transaction is a significant move under Metlen's global asset rotation strategy.

The asset package includes a total of seven photovoltaic projects in England and Scotland: 143 megawatts have already been commissioned or reached mechanical completion, while the remaining 140 megawatts are under construction and are scheduled to commence commercial operation in the second quarter of 2026.

This deal marks the second transaction between the two parties. In 2024, Metlen had already sold a 110-megawatt UK solar asset portfolio to Schroders Green Capital, reflecting the continued deepening of their collaboration in the UK's renewable energy asset sector.
