On February 28, the Jinhua Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment accepted and announced the environmental impact assessment documents for the technical renovation project of Jinhua Yonghe Fluorochemical Co., Ltd.'s annual production of 8,800 tons of fluorine-containing high-performance materials (FEP, PTFE, PFA).

The project is located within the existing plant area of the Jinxi Block in Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone, Zhejiang Province, with a total investment of 14.06 million USD (equivalent to 100 million RMB), and is a technical renovation project.

The project utilizes existing workshops and production equipment, does not add hazardous chemical processes or major risk sources, optimizes and upgrades the existing TFE and PTFE emulsion units, phases out the FEP single-screw extrusion production line, and adds equipment such as polymerization reactors and twin-screw extruders to establish production lines for fluorine-containing new materials including FEP, PTFE, and PFA.

Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 8,800 tons of fluorine-containing high-performance materials:

· FEP: 6,900 tons/year (an increase of 2,700 tons/year compared to before the renovation)

· PTFE emulsion: 600 tons/year

· PFA: 1,300 tons/year (newly added in this renovation)

Simultaneously, by-products will include: 120 tons/year of hexafluoropropylene, 69,720 tons/year of 31% hydrochloric acid, 54,911 tons/year of calcium chloride solution, 1,300 tons/year of 40% hydrofluoric acid, and 2,748 tons/year of 30% hydrofluoric acid.
