On the evening of April 2, Dongfang Shenghong announced that its second‑tier wholly owned subsidiary Shenghong Refining (Lianyungang) Co., Ltd. plans to invest in the construction ofDelayed coker optimization and upgrade project, by building a new coking feedstock pretreatment unit to produce high‑value‑added petroleum coke, further strengthening integrated refining advantages and enhancing core competitiveness.

The project's total investment is approximatelyRMB 3.455 billionof which construction investment is about RMB 3.329 billion; funding will come from self‑funds and bank loans. The construction period is expected to be 2 years, and the project is currently in the preliminary design stage.
