Labor action at the Isis LNG project postponed to June 2

A union spokesperson revealed that as negotiations between labor and management are still ongoing, offshore union members of the Ichthys liquefied natural gas project under Inpex Corp have decided to postpone legal industrial action until June 2.

The current demands primarily focus on salary increases and improved welfare benefits for all employees in the offshore gas fields and onshore plants. As a significant global LNG supply project, the Ichthys project has an annual production of approximately 9.3 million tons, accounting for 2% of the world's total liquefied natural gas production, with products mainly supplied to the Japanese market.
