First gas produced! HBP Indonesia Gas Field EPC project enters commercial operation

Recently, the EPC general contracting project for the Karamba natural gas gathering and processing in Indonesia, led and constructed by Huayou Huibopu Group, was successfully commissioned. The project achieved first gas production and has fully transitioned into the commercial operation cycle.

The purified commercial natural gas produced by the project will rely on the local mature pipeline network to be stably transported to the Balikpapan Refinery in East Kalimantan, providing stable and clean energy guarantees for this Indonesia national refining and petrochemical base. The gas supply cooperation cycle will continue until 2037.

The project covers complete industrial chain facilities and is equipped with a full set of natural gas purification and processing systems

The Karamba gas field project is a key oil and gas development project in the East Kalimantan region of Indonesia. The overall construction content covers 3 gas wells, a central natural gas processing plant, a receiving station, supporting living camps, and a 20-kilometer-long internal and external transmission pipeline network international gas network.

The project is equipped with a full set of integrated purification process units, including desulfurization, molecular sieve dehydration, light hydrocarbon recovery, and sulfur recovery units. It can simultaneously produce qualified commercial natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and stable condensate oil. The units are equipped with a tail gas recovery system, which significantly reduces natural gas flaring losses, balancing production benefits with local environmental protection control requirements. The entire set of gathering and processing facilities can complete the full-process purification and separation of feed gas, ensuring that the quality of exported natural gas remains stable and meets standards, adapting to the fuel and process gas standards of the refinery.
