BREAKING! A hazardous chemical transport truck collided, caught fire, and exploded on a national highway, killing 2 and injuring 4.

On the morning of July 5, a road traffic accident involving hazardous chemicals occurred in Dong Ujimqin Banner, Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia. An ammonium nitrate transport vehicle collided and triggered an explosion, resulting in 2 deaths and 4 injuries.

According to a preliminary report by the Dong Ujimqin Banner government, the accident occurred at 11:27 on July 5, located on National Highway 331 within the jurisdiction of Mandubulag Town. At the time of the incident, a hazardous chemical transport truck carrying ammonium nitrate collided with another transport truck, directly causing 2 deaths and 1 injury.

Since ammonium nitrate is a flammable and explosive hazardous chemical, a sudden explosion occurred at the scene after the collision. The powerful blast wave affected passing vehicles on the road, causing damage to surrounding vehicles and injuring 3 more people. The total casualties from the accident reached 2 deaths and 4 injuries.

Following the accident, local authorities immediately initiated emergency response measures. All 4 injured individuals have been transported to medical institutions for treatment. Currently, public security and traffic police departments have fully assessed the scene.
