As of July 8, 2026, the sampled inventory level of Chinese polyethylene producers stood at 431,500 tonnes, an increase of 68,000 tonnes (or 18.71%) from the previous period.

As of July 8, 2026, sampled domestic polyethylene producer inventories reached 431,500 tonnes, marking an 18.71% month-on-month increase. This significant rise in supply-side pressure exerts bearish pressure on LLDPE spot prices; while polyethylene-related futures contracts on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) have recently shown strength, this inventory buildup will likely limit their upside potential to some extent.
