Zibo Junchen's 500,000-ton styrene plant remains shut down; production resumption has been delayed twice, and acceptance has still not been completed.

The 500,000 tons/year styrene unit of Zibo Junchen suffered a sudden failure and a complete shutdown on May 12 due to equipment leakage. The unit was originally scheduled to complete maintenance and restart at the end of June, which was then postponed for the first time to early July; the resumption window was subsequently adjusted to mid-to-late July, only to be delayed again. As of July 15, the tightness testing and overall safety acceptance work of the unit have not yet been completed, and there is no clear timetable for resuming production.

The lack of large-scale alternative capacity in the North China region means that the prolonged shutdown of this unit continues to compress the circulation of local commodities. The regional spot supply of styrene remains tight, providing support for spot prices in the Shandong and North China markets.
