The ultra-large ethane/ethylene carrier delivered this time has a total length of 230 meters and a tank capacity of 99,000 cubic meters. It is capable of carrying various liquefied industrial and energy gases such as ethane, ethylene, and liquefied petroleum gas, and is suitable for long-distance ocean transport operations. The vessel balances economy and environmental protection in its design, possessing outstanding advantages such as low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs, making it an economical and eco-friendly special shipping equipment.

Yuan Shizhen, the chief builder for the 99,000 cubic meter ultra-large ethane carrier series at CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard, introduced that the vessel mainly serves the transportation needs of ethane feedstock for domestic petrochemical enterprises. Equipped with a shaft generator and an ethane-fueled main engine, the vessel can achieve a 99% reduction in sulfide emissions and an 18% reduction in hydrocarbon emissions, significantly lowering pollutant output during shipping and providing important equipment support for the development of green shipping.
