On the morning of August 13 local time, an unexpected incident occurred at an industrial coating company in Hudson, Massachusetts, USA. Multiple employees experienced physical discomfort, and a total of 16 people were urgently sent to three hospitals for examination and treatment. Local fire authorities preliminarily judged that the accident might be related to chemical processes within the factory.

According to a statement from the Hudson Fire Department, at 8:47 a.m. on that day, the fire department received an alarm from the involved factory and quickly rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, rescue personnel found that multiple employees were suffering from physical discomfort, dizziness, eye inflammation, and irritation. The on-site command center immediately announced the activation of a Mass-Casualty Incident (MCI) emergency response.
