Dyestuff prices up another 10,000 yuan/ton! Zhejiang Longsheng's reactive dyestuff prices will rise starting from August 26th

Recently, the dye industry has received major price adjustment news. Zhejiang Longsheng, the leading domestic dye manufacturer, has issued an official price adjustment notice, announcing that it will increase the prices of its reactive dye products starting from August 26. Multiple color series will see significant increases, with the highest increase of the reactive black series reaching 10,000 yuan/ton. Coupled with the continuous upward trend of disperse dyes in the early stage, the market price of dyes has risen again.

According to the price adjustment notice issued by Zhejiang Longsheng, this reactive dye price adjustment covers many mainstream varieties such as yellow, red, navy blue, black and turquoise blue.

The yellow series will be uniformly increased by 4,000 yuan/ton; the red, navy blue and black series will see an increase ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 yuan/ton, and some models of reactive black will see a price increase of 10,000 yuan per ton, making it the category with the largest price increase in this adjustment.

This price hike is not the first adjustment made by Zhejiang Longsheng this year.

In February this year, Zhejiang Longsheng and Runtu Co., Ltd. collectively increased the prices of disperse dye varieties such as disperse black by about 5,000 yuan/ton; on July 21, the two leading enterprises updated their price systems simultaneously again; in August, the entire series of disperse dyes saw across-the-board price increases. From July to early August, disperse black was raised three times in a row, and the market quotation has reached 30,000 yuan/ton, hitting a new high for the year.

Market data shows that as of August 21, the market price of reactive black has reached 36,000 yuan/ton, a 64% increase compared to the beginning of the year. Coupled with the maximum increase of 10,000 yuan/ton this time, the market generally expects that the market price of reactive black is expected to break through the 40,000 yuan/ton mark.

Judging from the details of this price adjustment notice, the price increases of different models within the same color series vary significantly. Taking reactive black as an example, most models see an increase of 7,000-8,000 yuan/ton, only Reactive Black C-G Black and Reactive Black NG reach the maximum increase of 10,000 yuan/ton. The mainstream models of navy blue see an increase of 8,000 yuan/ton, and the yellow series maintains a unified increase. The overall large adjustment range will obviously put pressure on the costs of downstream printing and dyeing enterprises.

As a key raw material for the textile printing and dyeing industry, the consecutive multiple rounds of price increases by leading enterprises reflect the tight supply pattern in the dye market. The market will continue to track the acceptance of downstream printing and dyeing enterprises, as well as whether other dye enterprises will follow up with price adjustments, and the subsequent trend of dye prices remains to be seen.
