On September 1st, it was learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that China's new round of prospecting breakthrough strategic action has achieved landmark results, and major breakthroughs have been made in the copper-gold ore exploration in the Chating area, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, making it possible to build a large-scale copper-gold resource base in East China.

The Chating copper-gold ore deposit is located in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, and it is a newly discovered copper-gold ore deposit with super-large potential in China in recent years. According to the disclosure of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the deep ore body has not been completely drilled through yet, and the delineated main ore body is about 1.2 kilometers long and about 1.1 kilometers wide. According to preliminary estimates, the potential copper resources in the mining area exceed the scale of several large copper mines with a capacity of 500,000 tons each, and the potential gold resources exceed the scale of more than ten large gold mines with a capacity of 20 tons each, and there is room for further increase in subsequent reserves.

This ore deposit is located in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River Metallogenic Belt. After completion, it will provide copper and gold raw materials for the smelting and processing industry in East China locally, which will help alleviate the supply pressure of copper and gold raw materials in the eastern region and improve the guarantee level of domestic key mineral resources.
