China Domestic fuel oil market prices rose on September 1. Low-sulfur 180cst fuel oil was quoted at 6,200–6,600 RMB/tonne (ex-warehouse/self-pickup), while low-sulfur 120cst fuel oil was quoted at 6,300–6,700 RMB/tonne.

In the spot market, prices trended upward, with low-sulfur 180cst fuel oil quoted at 6,200–6,600 RMB/tonne and low-sulfur 120cst fuel oil at 6,300–6,700 RMB/tonne; spot prices received positive support. Regarding futures, the main fuel oil contract (2611) on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed at 3,788 RMB/tonne today, up 71 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day. Trading volume stood at 912,917 lots, with open interest at 218,896 lots. The market showed underlying strength, exerting upward pressure on futures prices—a generally positive development
