China: Sinopec (Hong Kong) renews lease contract for 400,000-cu-m LPG terminal in S. China's Zhuhai

Sinopec (Hong Kong) recently resumed a 1-year contract with Zhuhai SinoSiam on renting 400,000-cu-m LPG terminal in Zhuhai City of South China's Guangdong Province, C1 learned from an international trader.

A source with Sinopec (Hong Kong) in charge of LPG business confirmed the news without giving more details.

Sinopec (Hong Kong) has been re-exporting LPG to Hong Kong via the underground LPG storage, which was sold to Thailand's Siam Gas and Petrochemicals Public Company Limited (SGP) by BP Zhuhai in September 2010.

Zhuhai SinoSiam is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SGP.

Sinopec (Hong Kong) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec, engaging in sales of gasoil, jet, fuel oil and LPG in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific. The company's LPG trading volume amounted to 460,000mt in 2010, of which 360,000mt was supplied to Hong Kong and the remainder to Vietnam. About 95% of the resource was re-exported from China.
