Yangzhou Shi You Chemical plans to put a newly-built 400,000-mt/yr hydrocracker into operation in end March, according to a source with the refinery.

The refinery is equipped with a 1.2-mil-mt/yr residue fluid catalytic cracker currently, processing Russia M100 fuel oil and homemade residue, the source said, adding its products mainly include light fuel oil, bunker fuel oil and slurry.

With the unit operational, the refinery would supply no light fuel oil and bunker fuel oil to the market, the source also said.

Yangzhou Shi You Chemical normally produces a combined 30,000mt per month of light fuel oil and bunker fuel oil, most of which flow into bunker market.
The refinery's output of slurry would remain at 4,000mt a month by then, the source furthered.

Yangzhou Shi You Chemical is an independent refinery located in Yangzhou City of East China's Jiangsu Province. It is a joint-venture between Zhuhai Shi You Chemical and Hong Kong-listed Kingboard Chemical Holdings.
