PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical plans to shut 5-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit and 3-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker for month-long maintenance early July, a refinery source said, adding its July crude throughput would slump nearly 50% as a result.

Lanzhou Petrochemical, located in Northwest China's Gansu Province, has a topping capacity of 13-mil mt per year. It is equipped with a 1.4-mil-mt/yr delayed coker and two fluid catalytic crackers with annual capacity of 3-mil mt and 1.4-mil mt, respectively. It supplies oil products to Southwest China through the Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Oil Product Pipeline. The refinery is capable of producing 700,000mt of ethylene annually.

PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical, which is located in Northwest China's Xinjiang region, would go into 45-day overall turnaround in July; meantime, PetroChina Ningxia Petrochemical in Ningxia region of Northwest China is scheduled to revamp some units, C1's data indicated.
