China's Q1 gasoline apparent consumption rises 8.8% yoy to 18.46-mil mt: NBS

China recorded 18.46-mil mt of gasoline apparent consumption in the first quarter of 2011, up 8.8% from a year earlier, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
Gasoline demand from domestic end-users keeps robust in the period, market sources denoted. China's car output and sales hit 4.9-mil and 4.99-mil units, representing a year-on-year rise of 7.48% and 8.08%, respectively, showed data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
From January to March, gasoline output increased 8.2% to 19.89-mil mt and exports inched up 1.6% to 1.43-mil mt, the NBS data indicated.
