Sinopec to supply 734,000mt of distillates to SW. China via pipeline in May, up 2.5% on month

Sinopec is expected to transmit a total of 734,000mt of gasoil and gasoline to Southwest China's Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan via its Southwest Oil Product Pipeline in May, up 2.5% from the previous month, revealed a source with pipeline department of the oil giant.

Gasoil allocation was 550,000mt, down 2% on month, while gasoline sharply up 18% to 184,000mt, according to the source.

The volumes were both at normal levels, the source said.

Sinopec Southwest Oil Product Pipeline kicked off construction on Sep 19, 2003 and came onto stream by the end of 2005. It starts from Maoming of Guangdong province and ends in Kunming of Yuan province, passing through 37 cities and towns within Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan. Stretching out 1,691km in its full length and linking up 19 stations, it is the largest-scaled and longest oil products pipeline in the country by far.
