China extends antidumping duty on Japan, US, EU chloroprene rubber

China has decided to continued imposing antidumping duty on chloroprene rubber imported from Japan, the US and the EU, China's Ministry of Commerce said late Monday.

The measures are effective May 10 for five years, the ministry said.

China had previously imposed antidumping duties of 2-151% on chloroprene rubber imported from Japan, the US and the EU for 5 years from May 2005.

The ministry launched a fresh probe in May 2010 following an application by domestic chloroprene rubber producers.

It said in the statement Monday that it has decided to continue with the duties as China's chloroprene rubber industry would be adversely impacted if the anti-dumping measures were lifted.
