Chevron Phillips restarting Sweeny unit after maintenance: sources

Chevron Phillips Chemical began restarting a steam cracker Thursday at its Sweeny complex in Old Ocean, Texas, following planned maintenance, sources said Thursday.
Company spokeswoman Kristina Baum declined to comment, citing company policy.
The 254,014 mt/year Unit 22 steam cracker went down February 17 for maintenance, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
