Taiwan's state-owned CPC Corp. has planned the restart of a residue fluid catalytic cracker at its Talin refinery two days early, on January 31 instead of February 2, a company source said Thursday.

CPC had reduced January term supply to 65%-70% of the agreed term volume, down from the 80% planned earlier due to the delay in startup. The company had also reduced December term supply to 90% of the agreed volume, Platts reported earlier.
"We are going to restart on January 31, so we are able to supply 100% on the agreed term volume to our customers in February," said the company source.

CPC supplies propylene to domestic customers.

The RFCC, which can produce around 320,000 mt/year of propylene, was shut on December 14 due to a technical glitch.
