Experts: Consumption of Flexible Polyether Polyols in China to Increase by 15% This Year

　　PUWORLD(2010-03-26)——Price of common flexible polyether polyols soared to two-year high of Rmb 15000/ton on tight supply and the slow recovery of downstream sectors after economic crisis, according to a market source.

　　In recent years, the flexible polyether polyols industry witnessed great changes, from the deficit status over the past years to the recent rise these years. As a major downstream sector, import & export status of furniture industry largely influences demand for flexible polyether polyols. Thereby, players are showing concerns on discovering more potential downstream application fields.

　　As seen from the sales status of flexible polyether polyols in the first quarter, consumption at domestic market increased by 20% versus the same period of last year. And based on the current development trend, consumption of flexible polyether polyols at domestic market will increase about 15% in 2010.
