China’s National Development and Reform Commission reported that China’s climate had changed a lot in recent 100 years with its mean annual temperature up by 0.5~0.8℃.

According to China's National Climate Change Program issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the country's first global warming policy initiative, the government will swiftly adopt measures ranging from laws, economy, administration and technology which will combine to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and imbue the country with a flexible approach to climate change.

The program, which was taken to strengthen the emission control of nitrous oxide and other kinds of greenhouse gases, included: Further promoting the development of CDM projects and other kinds of international cooperation in the sector of adipic acid production; actively seeking necessary financial resources and technical assistance for the emission control of nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6); renovating the facilities of off-gas recovery in nitrous oxide production plants to update the emission control techniques; taking various measures to reduce the emissions of these gases.

Meanwhile, China also took great efforts to popularize saving principles on building materials by actively developing buildings which can save energy, water, materials and land. As a result, building materials of high performances, low consumption and recyclable property would also be promoted vigorously.
