https://www.chemnet.com Aug 02,2010
Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical is expected to complete maintenance of a 1.4-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker at the end of July, which was shut down late Jul 13 due to glitch, a refinery source said.
With the unit back into operation, Luoyang Petrochemical would resume crude throughput of 600,000mt in August, flat with scheduled consumption for July, according to the source.
The refinery may defer completion of a 2.6-mil-mt/yr wax oil hydrogenation unit from this October to end 2010 or the beginning of 2011, the source revealed without giving reason.
Luoyang Petrochemical, located in Luoyang City of Central China's Henan Province, has a topping capacity of 8-mil mt per year. It is equipped with 800,000-mt/yr catalytic and straight-run gasoil hydro-refining unit and 700,000-mt/yr continuous catalytic reformer. The refinery mainly refines crude from Tahe, Zhongyuan, Tarim and Tuha oilfields, as well as Russia crude. It is capable of producing Euro III gasoline.
