PetroChina Daqing Petrochemical is scheduled to process 560,000mt of crude oil in August, with daily throughput 7% higher than the previous month, according to a refinery source.

The refinery set higher crude oil throughput target for August, because nearby PetroChina Daqing Refining & Chemical would be in turnaround in the whole month, the source explained.

Daqing Petrochemical, located in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has a crude oil processing capacity of 6-mil mt per year. It is equipped with a 600,000-mt/yr ethylene unit, capacity of which would be doubled in 2011.
