China: S. China commercial fuel oil inventory stable at 1.65-mil mt

Commercial fuel oil inventories of major oil terminals in South China totaled 1.64-1.66-mil mt up till Aug 4, flat with week ago, while 59% higher than the same period last year, a survey found. The volume accounted for 63% of the total storage capacity of the terminals.
About 30,000mt of fuel oil entered into the terminals in the past week, comprising 22,000mt of USA-origined mixed/cracked 380CST high-sulfur fuel oil imported by Sinopec (Hong Kong) and 8,000mt of domestically-blended 180CST fuel oil.
In the meantime, about 30,000mt of fuel oil was channeled out from the terminals, including 13,000mt of bonded oil from Titan's Xiaohudao oil terminal and 17,000mt of domestic 180CST fuel oil. The homemade grade is expected to have flown into local bunker market.
The tank farms involved in a survey on commercial fuel oil inventory in Huangpu market include PetroChina Fuel Oil's Zhanjiang oil terminal, Titan's Xiaohudao oil terminal, Zhanjiang Port oil terminal, BP's Nansha oil terminal, Dongguan Jinming oil terminal, Sinochem-Gree oil terminal, Yuehai's Xiaohudao oil terminal, Chimbusco's Zhuhai Guishan oil terminal and Xiji oil terminal. Storage capacity of these tank farms adds up to 2.627-mil cu m.
