A combined 175,000mt of gasoline and gasoil were transported southwards from Tianjin port in North China in July, down 6% from the previous month, according to a port source.

The volume of gasoline was 76,000mt, slightly down 1% on month, and gasoil declined 10% to 99,000mt, the source said.

PetroChina shipped out 31,000mt of gasoline in July, sharply up 76% from June. Independent wholesalers sent 45,000mt in total, down 25% on month. Gasoil shipments were all from Sinopec, including 50,000mt for export, down 35% on month.

Sinopec cut gasoil exports in July probably due to slight supply tension in Tianjin market, market sources reckoned.

In addition, CNOOC shipped 14,000mt of gasoil from southern China to Tianjin port in July, down 12.5% on month; meantime, Sinopec received 48,300mt of oil products there, most of which was gasoline, the port source said.

Tianjin port accumulatively transported 558,000mt of gasoline in the first seven months of this year, up 43% year-on-year; meantime, it shipped out 812,000mt of gasoil, the port source revealed.
