According to monitoring data from SunSirs, bromine prices have temporarily stabilized this week. The average market price from the beginning of the week to the weekend was 26,000 RMB/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 53.43%.

(Note: The cycle refers to the period from September 1st, 2011 to the present)
Analysis review
Bromine prices are temporarily stable this week. Bromine companies have no inventory pressure, but under cost pressure, they are intentionally stabilizing prices. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries have recently started operating in general, and most of them still mainly purchase on demand. Bromine enterprises have stable production, average shipments, and prices are gradually stabilizing.
In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices have been weak this week, with an average market price of 1,050 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,046.67 RMB/ton at the weekend. The price has decreased by 0.32%, and a year-on-year decrease of 69.46%. On site inquiries are average, enterprises are actively shipping, and the market transaction price is low. Downstream purchases followed up according to demand. The shipment of sulfur enterprises is average, and the sulfur market is organized and operated.
Market outlook
Analysts from SunSirs believe that the mainstream price of bromine has been maintaining stable operation recently, while upstream sulfur prices have declined. Recently, demand for downstream flame retardants and intermediates in the bromine industry has followed suit, and bromine has not been under inventory pressure recently, but is intentionally stabilizing due to cost support. Overall, it is expected that the price of bromine will consolidate and operate in the short term, depending on downstream market demand.
