The data released by the National Bureau of Statistics recently shows that in late April, the overall price of coal in China was mainly declining, and the decline in some coal types further expanded compared to the middle of the month; However, there has been a slight rebound in the price of low calorie thermal coal. The specific price changes of each coal type are as follows:

The price of anthracite (washing block, volatile matter≤8%) is 1380.0 RMB/ton, down 46.4 RMB/ton or 3.3% from the previous period.

The price of ordinary mixed coal (a mixture of Shanxi fine coal and lump coal with a calorific value of 4500 kcal) is 773.8 RMB/ton, an increase of 5.2 RMB/ton or 0.7% compared to the previous period.

The price of Shanxi Dachun (a high-quality mixed coal with a calorific value of 5000 kcal) is 888.8 RMB/ton, an increase of 11.7 RMB/ton or 1.3% compared to the previous period.

The price of Shanxi Youmian (high-quality blended coal with a calorific value of 5500 kcal) is 1001.3 RMB/ton, a decrease of 14.4 RMB/ton or 1.4% compared to the previous period.

The price of coking coal (main coking coal with sulfur content<1%) was 1860.7 RMB/ton, a decrease of 189.3 RMB/ton compared to the previous period, a decrease of 9.2%.

From the above data, it can be seen that in late April, except for the slight increase in low calorie thermal coal, other coal prices maintained a downward trend. However, except for coking coal, the downward trend has slowed down.
