SunSirs: This Week, the Price of Sodium Metabisulfite Continued to Decline Weakly (March 4-8)

　　According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the domestic price of sodium metabisulfite continued to be weak this week. The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 2,316.67 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 2,183.33 RMB/ton, a decrease of 5.76% during the week.

　　Analysis review

　　Due to the continuous decline in upstream raw material prices, enterprises had lowered the price of sodium metabisulfite again this week. The domestic industrial grade sodium metabisulfite market price range was 2,150-2,300 RMB/ton, with most prices concentrated around 2,150-2,200 RMB/ton. The inventory of the enterprise was about 30%, and the enterprise mainly completed orders from old customers.

　　As of March 8th, the price of upstream soda ash had dropped by 6.85% within the month, while the price of sulfur had dropped by 0.33%. The continued weakness of raw material prices will further suppress the domestic market price of sodium metabisulfite in the future.

　　Market outlook

　　Analysts from SunSirs believe that costs remained weak, and in the short term, the domestic market price of sodium metabisulfite will continue to operate under pressure.
