During this cycle, cost support had been weak, with high supply side inventory and downstream consumption of raw materials. The enthusiasm for inquiry and procurement was not high, with only small orders on demand follow-up. The market transaction atmosphere was flat, with holders offering discounts for shipments. In addition, the decline in related product n-butanol had caused a loosening of the focus of negotiations in the isobutanol market.
