This week (4.8-4.14), the market price of isobutanol first fell and then stabilized. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of April 14th, the average price of isobutanol enterprises was 7,950 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.55% compared to last Monday (isobutanol reference 8,075 RMB/ton).

  Cost side:

Propylene: The domestic propylene (Shandong) market saw a slight increase this week (4.8-4.12). The average price in the Shandong market at the beginning of the week was 6,820 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 6,892 RMB/ton, with a weekly increase of 1.02%, providing moderate support for the isobutanol market.

Isobutyraldehyde: According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of isobutyraldehyde had fallen since April. On April 12th, the reference price of isobutyraldehyde was 7,212.50 RMB/ton, a decrease of 4.68% compared to April 1st (7,566.67 RMB/ton), which lacked support for the isobutanol market.

  Related product n-butanol:

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, in early April, the overall market for n-butanol in Shandong, China, showed a fluctuating downward trend. After the Qingming Festival, the n-butanol market experienced a rebound, with a slight upward trend and another downward trend, providing limited support for the isobutanol market.

Supply and demand side: Recently, the main factories had maintained a stable trend, and some companies had slightly weakened their quotations. In the Shandong market, stability was the main focus on the supply side, while downstream inquiries and purchases were mainly for small orders and urgent needs, resulting in a dull market atmosphere. In the East China market, downstream buying intentions were average, with a focus on observation and small order negotiations in the market.

  Market outlook

The isobutanol analyst from SunSirs believes that the isobutanol market was temporarily stable and mainly wait-and-see. Downstream procurement mentality was average, small orders followed up on demand, and short-term market support may still be insufficient. It is expected that the isobutanol market will remain stable in the short term, and more attention should be paid to market news guidance.
