Analysis review
This week, the price of bromine remained stable with an upward trend, with mainstream quotes in the Shandong market ranging from 20,000 to 22,000 RMB/ton. The main reason for the increase in bromine prices was that there were fewer imports and it was still in a period of import shortage, which was still favorable for bromine prices. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries were still mainly purchasing on demand recently, with a strong wait-and-see attitude. Bromine companies were not in a hurry to ship, while market suppliers and demanders engage in a game. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had risen, with an average market price of 1,183.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and an average market price of 1,103.33 RMB/ton over the weekend, a decrease of 6.76% and an increase of 39.08% compared to the same period last year.
Market outlook
The price of bromine had been steadily increasing recently, while the price of upstream sulfur had fallen. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine were still mainly purchasing according to demand, with relatively thin profits. Supply and demand gamed. Overall, it is expected that the price of bromine will fluctuate in the short term, depending on downstream market demand.
