According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic price of HDPE (5000S) was 8,750 RMB/ton on June 17th, and the average price on June 21st was 8,757 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.09% during the period.
Last week, the price of polyethylene increased. LDPE products have seen a significant increase, with LDPE being affected by maintenance of some domestic devices and supported by a shortage of imported goods, resulting in a continuous increase in the price of high-voltage products. LLDPE and HDPE quotations have been raised narrowly, with no pressure on the supply side. In addition, downstream polyethylene is in a low demand season, and there is limited room for price increases. On the cost side, international crude oil supports polyethylene. Under the premise of continuous price increases in the early stage, LDPE products have a strong resistance to high prices in the downstream market, and it is expected that there will be limited upward space in the later stage. On the cost side, there is still support on the cost side. The demand is currently in the off-season, with downstream demand being the main demand and insufficient order follow-up. It is expected that the overall polyethylene will experience high volatility.
