SunSirs: Daily Report of China Bulk Commodity Data (July 18, 2024)

On July 17th, the commodity price index BPI was 932 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 30.60% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 41.21% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1, 2011 to present)





According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on July 17, 2024, there were a total of 20 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the agricultural and sideline sector (6 in total) and the chemical sector (4 in total). The top 3 commodities with the highest increase were rapeseed meal (3.81%), monoammonium phosphate (1.70%), and soybean meal (1.23%). There were a total of 46 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry (16 in total) and non-ferrous metals (7 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were urea (-2.21%), dysprosium metal (-2.17%), and EVA (-1.79%).
