Data shows that the total production of natural and mixed rubber in Thailand reached 2.37 million tons in the first half of 2024, a decrease of 13.4% from 2.74 million tons in the same period last year. In terms of specific varieties, the production of cigarette adhesive remained unchanged year-on-year; Standard adhesive increased by 44.2% year-on-year; Concentrated latex decreased by 23.5% year-on-year; The mixed adhesive decreased by 16.2% year-on-year.
In the first half of the year, the domestic consumption of natural rubber and mixed rubber in the country was 560,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.1%, compared to 640,000 tons in the same period last year. In terms of specific varieties, the consumption of cigarette adhesive increased by 0.4% year-on-year; The standard adhesive decreased by 18.6% year-on-year; Concentrated latex decreased by 11.3% year-on-year; The mixed adhesive decreased by 17.5% year-on-year.
In addition, as of June, the inventory of Thai natural rubber and mixed rubber was 870,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5% and a month on month decrease of 2.2%. Among them, cigarette adhesive accounts for 3%; Standard adhesive accounts for 15%; Concentrated latex accounts for 11%; Mixed adhesive accounts for 3%; Others account for 68%.
