On August 1st, the commodity price index BPI was 915 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 31.87% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (October 19, 2021), and an increase of 38.64% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1, 2011 to present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on August 1, 2024, there were a total of 44 commodities on the rise and fall list of bulk commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (15 in total) and non-ferrous sector (14 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were WTI crude oil (4.26%), Brent crude oil (3.55%), and sulfuric acid (2.94%). There are a total of 36 products that have experienced a month on month decline, concentrated in the chemical industry (14 in total) and agricultural and sideline industries (6 in total). Products with a decline of more than 5% are mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three products with a decline were liquid ammonia (-7.73%), hydrogen peroxide (-1.79%), and lithium carbonate industrial grade (-1.54%).
